Establishes a working group to study Connecticut's criminal procedure laws, including a minimum review of Title 54 of the general statutes for legislative recommendations.

Working group consists of 6 members with criminal procedure expertise, appointed one each by the House speaker, Senate president pro tempore, House majority leader, Senate majority leader, House minority leader, and Senate minority leader.

Working group must submit a report of findings and recommendations to the joint standing judiciary committee by January 1, 2023.

Working group terminates on the date it submits its report or January 1, 2023, whichever is later.

Act takes effect upon passage.
