Establishes a working group convened by commerce committee chairpersons to examine and recommend whether Connecticut should adopt the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts.

Working group shall study whether remote notarial acts should be permitted for real estate and trusts and estates transactions.

Membership includes the Secretary of the State, a General Assembly attorney with real estate experience, representatives from commerce/government administration/judiciary committees, the Judicial Branch, Connecticut State Library, town clerks, bar associations, notary associations, and title insurance and mortgage industries.

First meeting required within 60 days of passage, with monthly meetings thereafter until report submission.

Working group must submit findings and recommendations to relevant General Assembly committees no later than January 1, 2023, and terminates upon report submission or January 1, 2023, whichever is later.
