Repeals and replaces Section 12-564 of the general statutes concerning gambling studies conducted by the commissioner.

Requires the commissioner to conduct a study on the effects of legalized gambling on state citizens, with the first study due no later than February 1, 2023, and every ten years thereafter.

Study shall examine types of gambling activity engaged in by the public and the desirability of expanding, maintaining, or reducing the amount of legalized gambling permitted in the state.

Commissioner must submit study findings and costs to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of public safety and security, in accordance with section 11-4a.

Act takes effect upon passage and amends General Statutes Section 12-564.
