SB 287 Summary

• Commissioner of Social Services shall study the efficacy of Medicaid programs and whether the state can expand health care services to low-income individuals through additional Medicaid waiver programs.

• Commissioner must submit a report to the joint standing committee on human services no later than January 1, 2023.

• Report shall include a list of Medicaid waiver programs in the state and the number of individuals served by each program.

• Report shall include waiting lists for each waiver program.

• Report shall include recommendations concerning additional waiver programs the state should consider implementing.
