Repeals Connecticut General Statute Section 47a-42 effective October 1, 2022, eliminating the requirement for municipalities to store personal property of evicted tenants.

Removes provisions requiring state marshals to deliver evicted tenants' possessions to a designated storage location designated by town officials.

Eliminates the storage, public auction sale, and net proceeds distribution process that previously allowed towns to recoup storage costs and return remaining funds to evicted tenants.

Requires state marshals to notify town chief executive officers 24 hours before evictions with details about the date, time, location, and types of property being removed.

Mandates that removal of possessions and personal effects shall be at the expense of the evicted defendant rather than creating a municipal storage obligation.
