The Adjutant General shall conduct a survey of Connecticut National Guard members through the Military Department's family program to identify support services most used by members and those deemed most beneficial.

Survey shall assess support services including mental health, behavioral health and wellness programs, employment assistance, financial and retirement counseling, and community involvement opportunities.

Survey shall identify areas for improvement in coordinating National Guard members' access to support services.

The Adjutant General must submit a report on survey findings and recommendations for legislation to the joint standing committee having cognizance of military affairs by January 1, 2023.

The act takes effect upon passage.
