Prohibits insurers, health care centers, hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, fraternal benefit societies, and other health insurance entities from paying reduced reimbursement rates to licensed podiatrists solely based on their professional designation.

Applies to individual and group health insurance policies providing coverage under subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11), and (12) of Connecticut General Statutes section 38a-469.

Requires podiatrists to receive equal reimbursement for covered benefits provided within their scope of practice, effective January 1, 2023.

Received joint favorable recommendations from both the Insurance and Real Estate Committee (INS) and the Appropriations Committee (APP).
