Renames the Youth Suicide Advisory Board to the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board and expands its scope to address suicide prevention across all age groups, not just youth, effective July 1, 2022

Modifies board composition to include representatives from various organizations and agencies, plus a person with lived experience of suicide ideation or loss; establishes the Commissioners of Children and Families and Mental Health and Addiction Services as cochairpersons

Expands board responsibilities to develop statewide suicide prevention strategies, coordinate interagency services, establish procedures in schools and communities, and offer suicide prevention training to healthcare providers and educators across all age groups

Requires physicians renewing their medical licenses to complete at least two contact hours of continuing education in suicide prevention or diagnosing and treating cognitive or mental health conditions, with special emphasis on veterans and family members of veterans

Adds a representative of the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board to a state education committee, alongside representatives from the Connecticut Education Association and National Alliance on Mental Illness, Connecticut
