State Library Board may institute state-wide library services including cataloging, union catalogs, coordinated acquisitions, interlibrary loans, high-speed communications, reference centers, traveling collections, and a state-wide electronic books platform.

State Library Board shall create and maintain one or more library research centers using information sources within and outside the state to meet patron inquiries.

State Library Board shall maintain the state's principal law library located in the State Library and Supreme Court Building and distribute state documents, statutes, and public acts to law libraries.

State Library Board shall create and maintain library service for the blind and other persons with disabilities pursuant to 2 USC Sections 135a, 135a-1, and 135b.

State Library Board must consult with the advisory board for the blind and physically disabled and the Commissioner of Aging and Disability Services before taking any action that may diminish or substantively change library services for persons with disabilities.
