Connecticut Department of Public Health shall administer the Connecticut School Health Survey to grades 9-12 biennially beginning July 1, 2022, contingent on receiving federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funding.

Survey shall be based on the federal Youth Risk Behavior Survey and administered to high schools selected at random by the CDC.

Department must provide guidelines to local and regional boards of education including survey protocol, parental opt-out procedures, anonymity requirements, completion timeframe, and result submission process.

Survey must be administered anonymously in a manner designed to protect student privacy.

Local and regional boards of education at randomly selected high schools are responsible for administering the survey according to department guidelines.
