Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection must develop and post a capacity limit for Squantz Pond State Park by January 31, 2024.

Capacity limit shall consider staffing levels for visitor and swimmer supervision, parking capacity, public restroom facility capacity, pedestrian and vehicular traffic safety on state highways leading to the park, and the ability to use vehicle numbers as a proxy for visitor count.

Commissioner shall coordinate with municipal and state law enforcement to implement traffic control measures on local roadways and state highways to minimize public safety concerns.

Commissioner may close the park to new entrants when capacity is reached, regardless of how patrons enter the facility.
