Prohibits the participation of covered animals in traveling animal acts beginning October 1, 2023.

Covered animals include most wild and exotic species such as elephants, big cats, bears, primates, marine mammals, and certain hoofed animals, but excludes domesticated species like cattle, horses, dogs, cats, and farm animals.

Traveling animal act is defined as any performance where covered animals are transported to, from, or between locations in mobile housing facilities for entertainment purposes.

Exception allows covered animals to perform at permanent, nonmobile institutions or fixed facilities provided the animals are not transported to that location for the performance.

Violating this prohibition is a class A misdemeanor.
