Authorizes Connecticut to join the Counseling Compact, an interstate agreement allowing professional counselors licensed in member states to practice in Connecticut without obtaining a Connecticut license.

Enables licensed counselors from other member states to provide services in Connecticut, increasing access to mental health care providers in the state.

Supports continuity of care for patients and allows new state residents, including military spouses, to practice their profession without unnecessary licensing delays.

Referred to the Committee on Public Health for consideration during the January 2023 legislative session.
