Establishes a task force effective July 1, 2023 to study mental health services for veterans, including availability in the state, feasibility of expanding services, and research on therapeutic efficacy.

Task force composition includes 11 members: 2 appointed by House Speaker, 2 by Senate President Pro Tempore, 1 each by House and Senate majority leaders, 1 each by House and Senate minority leaders, 2 by Governor, plus Commissioners of Veterans Affairs and Mental Health and Addiction Services (or designees).

All initial appointments must be made by August 1, 2023, with the first meeting scheduled by September 1, 2023.

Administrative staff support provided by the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of veterans' and military affairs.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee by January 1, 2024, and terminates on the date of report submission or January 1, 2024, whichever is later.
