Require local and regional school boards to conduct a fire drill within 30 days after the first day of school and at least one additional fire drill before March 1st of the school year.

Mandate between one and two crisis response drills during the school year, with drills developed in coordination with appropriate local law enforcement agencies.

Require school boards to provide educators with age-appropriate explanations they may share with students regarding why crisis response drills are being conducted.

Amend section 10-231 of the general statutes to establish these fire drill and crisis response drill requirements.
