Effective July 1, 2024, expands state-funded medical assistance under HUSKY to children ages 15 and younger regardless of immigration status if they would otherwise qualify for HUSKY A and meet income requirements.

Eligible children may continue receiving assistance until age 19 if they continue meeting income and eligibility requirements and do not qualify for Medicaid, CHIP, or affordable employer-sponsored insurance.

Commissioner of Social Services must study costs and benefits of extending medical assistance to persons ages 15-25 regardless of immigration status and report findings by January 1, 2025.

Modifies section 17b-292 to expand HUSKY B eligibility to children ages 15 and younger with household income between 201-323 percent of federal poverty level, regardless of immigration status.

All provisions require federal waiver approval where necessary and are contingent on available appropriations.
