• Permits expiration notices for state pistol/revolver permits, eligibility certificates, long gun certificates, and security officer licenses to be sent by first class mail or electronic mail at the permit holder's election, effective July 1, 2023.

• Requires notices to be sent at least 90 days before expiration and must include a renewal form.

• Allows permit/license holders to renew by mail if they complete the form, submit appropriate fees, provide proof of citizenship or legal residency, and submit a full-face photograph.

• Extends validity period of expired permits and licenses for 90 days after expiration date, except for revoked permits or those with pending revocation.

• Requires a $25 late fee for security officer license renewal applications filed after the expiration date, and prohibits renewal of licenses expired for more than 90 days.
