Increases the maximum funeral and burial expense allowance from $1,350 to $1,800 for beneficiaries of the state supplement program, temporary family assistance program, and state-administered general assistance program, effective July 1, 2024

Applies to deceased individuals who lack sufficient estate funds and have no legally liable relatives able to pay funeral costs

Payment amounts are reduced by existing funeral funds, prepaid contracts, life insurance policies naming funeral providers as beneficiaries, liquid assets in the estate, and outside contributions exceeding $3,400

Authorizes the Commissioner of Social Services to disclose information about a decedent's liquid assets to funeral directors, cemeteries, or crematories when payments are reduced due to those assets
