State forest fire warden may temporarily supplement forest fire control personnel with temporary emergency workers who meet National Incident Management System: Wildland Fire Qualification System Guide standards, effective October 1, 2023.

Department of Administrative Services shall assist the state forest fire warden in developing appropriate classifications for temporary emergency wildfire workers, effective October 1, 2023.

Commissioner of Veterans Affairs shall submit annual reports to the Military Department and joint standing committee on veterans' and military affairs (changed from "public safety") specifying the number of veterans receiving benefits and their total value by category, effective October 1, 2023.

Telecommunicator employment by public safety or private safety agencies for periods exceeding one year requires division certification through either successful completion of a training program or passage of a written or oral examination, effective October 1, 2023.

Section 12-570b of the general statutes is repealed effective October 1, 2023.
