Establishes an early childhood psychosis task force to study barriers to adequate and early treatment of psychosis in children

Task force would evaluate creating clinics in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, staffed by mental health providers to deliver comprehensive care for children in early stages of psychotic illness

Examines early evaluation and symptom management for children with psychotic illness, including initiating treatments and making referrals for additional services

Evaluates creating care pathways with specialty teams for first-episode psychosis, a statewide coordination model following National Institute of Mental Health recommendations, and comprehensive services including psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, family support, and education coordination

Assesses strengthening existing clinical networks treating children with psychotic illness, with focus on outcomes, collaborative research, and use of informatics
