Commissioner of Developmental Services must develop a strategic plan to reduce wait times for services to persons with intellectual disability and submit it to the Public Health Committee by January 1, 2024.

Department of Developmental Services must provide advance notice to persons with intellectual disability or their legal representatives before their eligibility for state-assisted care ends, effective October 1, 2023.

Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management must consult with all relevant stakeholders before implementing any plan to close a facility operated by the Department of Developmental Services, effective October 1, 2023.

A task force is established to study the Department of Developmental Services' level of need assessment system, examining its instruments, policies, procedures, training materials, and recommending improvements by January 1, 2024.

Task force consists of eight members appointed by legislative leaders (two each from House and Senate leadership, one each from majority and minority leaders of both chambers) plus the Commissioner of Developmental Services or designee.
