Department of Energy and Environmental Protection must select five state parks or campground facilities and provide two all-terrain wheelchairs at each location by April 1, 2024, available free of charge to patrons.

Commissioner may establish rules regarding hours of availability, reservation procedures, usage requirements, and operational guidelines for the all-terrain wheelchairs.

Commissioner must submit a report to the joint standing committee on environment by January 1, 2025, including usage data, problems encountered, recommendations on wheelchair sufficiency, and suggestions for expanding the program to additional facilities.

"All-terrain wheelchair" is defined as a battery-powered wheelchair with treads capable of traversing trails, sand, gravel, and similar rugged terrain.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2023.
