Establishes a task force to study the feasibility of developing a multimodal transportation center in Stonington and Groton, including examination of water taxis, parking areas, bike lanes, trolley services, and green transportation alternatives for the Mystic area.

Task force shall consist of 10 members including representatives from both towns, the Commissioners of Transportation and Energy/Environmental Protection, eastern regional district, business/tourism organizations, local traffic authorities, tourist attractions, and a resident appointed by the Governor.

Members must be appointed within 30 days of the effective date, with the first task force meeting to be held within 60 days, and chairpersons selected by the House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tempore.

Task force shall submit a report with findings and recommendations to the joint standing committees having cognizance of commerce, transportation, and environment matters no later than January 1, 2024.

Task force terminates on the date it submits its report or January 1, 2024, whichever is later; administrative staff support provided by the joint standing committee on commerce.
