Amends title 47a of the general statutes to prohibit landlords from initiating eviction proceedings against tenants based solely on nonrenewal of a rental agreement when the landlord has sought an annual rent increase exceeding 15 percent.

Prevents landlords from using the expiration of a lease term as grounds for eviction if they have demanded rent increases greater than 15 percent annually.

Referred to the Committee on Housing and introduced by Sen. Miller P. of the 27th District during the January 2023 session.
