Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection shall verify each registered sex offender's residence address every 90 days by mailing a nonforwardable verification form requiring the registrant's signature, with a 10-day return deadline by mail, facsimile, or electronic mail.

For registrants at addresses without residential mail delivery, local police or state police must conduct in-person verification every 90 days.

Failure to return the verification form triggers notification to local or state police, who shall apply for an arrest warrant; the department shall not verify addresses of registrants whose last reported residence was outside the state.

Department may suspend sex offender registrations while individuals are incarcerated, under civil commitment, or residing outside Connecticut, and is not required to verify addresses during suspension periods.

Most recent photographic images must be included in the registry and retaken at least once every five years; superintendent of schools and municipal chief executive officers must be notified by electronic mail when a registrant is released or changes residence address.
