Establishes a working group to evaluate barriers preventing physicians from accepting Medicaid patients and recommend solutions to eliminate such barriers

Working group consists of representatives from a state medical society, Commissioners of Social Services, Public Health, Insurance, and the Executive Director of the Office of Health Strategy

Commissioner of Social Services must schedule the first working group meeting within 60 days of the effective date, with the group electing its own chairperson

Working group must submit findings and recommendations to relevant legislative committees by January 1, 2024, after which it terminates

Grants physicians liability immunity (civil, criminal, and professional license-related) when providing health care services in good faith to Medicaid patients without gross negligence or willful misconduct, effective October 1, 2023
