Office of Workforce Strategy shall develop a workforce training and experiential learning program for careers in mechatronics, cybersecurity, three-dimensional printing, Internet of Things, and chartered global management accounting, effective October 1, 2023.

Office of Workforce Strategy must consult with businesses on hiring needs, develop an application process, partner with regional workforce boards and higher education institutions, and create career pathways for vertical advancement.

Office of Workforce Strategy shall partner with training providers to track and report performance outcomes of program participants.

Program enrollees may opt to have their information provided to businesses as prospective employees upon program completion.

Office of Workforce Strategy must submit annual reports by July 1, 2024, and each year thereafter to relevant legislative committees on program completion rates, job placement rates, and wage data of participants.
