Board of Regents for Higher Education and University of Connecticut Board of Trustees must establish plans by January 1, 2024 for each residential campus to provide student access to reproductive health care services from licensed providers.

Plans must address availability of equipment and providers on-campus or in surrounding community, referrals and transportation to off-campus services, and telehealth options including counseling services.

Plans must include educational materials on maternal mental health care and screenings, continuity of care during holidays and vacation periods, cost estimates with funding availability, and information about pregnancy as a qualifying health insurance event.

Boards must submit completed plans to the joint standing committee on higher education and employment advancement within 30 days of establishment or update, and post plans on institutional websites.

Effective July 1, 2023, with plans required by January 1, 2024.
