Commissioner of Social Services shall conduct a study of Department of Social Services programs to identify gaps in services.

Study shall examine program responsiveness to service recipients, existing problems within programs, and whether staff allocation meets service needs.

Commissioner must report study results to the joint standing committee on human services no later than January 1, 2024.

Report may include commissioner's recommendations for addressing identified service gaps and improving access to services.

Provisions take effect upon passage of the bill.
