Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection shall convey approximately 2.5 acres of state land located at 1996 Highland Avenue in Cheshire to the town at cost equal to administrative expenses, subject to State Properties Review Board approval.

Town of Cheshire must sell the parcel for economic development purposes within five years or the land reverts to the state.

Any sale price shall be determined by averaging appraisals from two independent appraisers selected by the commissioner, with appraisals completed within six months of conveyance.

All proceeds from the town's sale of the parcel shall be transferred to the State Treasurer for deposit in the General Fund.

State Treasurer shall execute the deed with provisions ensuring the land is sold for economic development, and the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection retains responsibility for all other conveyance matters; State Properties Review Board must complete its review within 30 days.
