Commissioner of Early Childhood shall develop and distribute by January 1, 2025, and annually thereafter, a document to all licensed child care centers, group child care homes, and family child care homes explaining the benefits and consequences of liability insurance coverage.

On and after January 1, 2025, licensed child care facilities must provide written notice to individuals seeking child care services indicating whether the licensee carries liability insurance coverage of at least $100,000 for bodily injury or death of any one person.

Notice may state that liability insurance coverage is not required by law.

Beginning January 1, 2026, and annually thereafter, each licensed facility must confirm in a form prescribed by the Commissioner of Early Childhood that it complied with the notice requirements during the preceding calendar year.
