• Requires health care facilities and practice locations with 9+ physicians/advanced practice registered nurses to comply with federal accessibility standards for medical diagnostic equipment (examination tables, chairs, weight scales, mammography, and radiological equipment) by January 1, 2026.

• Mandates staff training on patient access policies, designated contact information for accessibility assistance, and documentation of equipment inventory (both accessible and non-accessible) by January 1, 2025.

• Requires at least one accessible examination table or chair in facilities/practices with 3+ examination rooms and at least one accessible weight scale if weight scales are used, effective January 1, 2026.

• Provides exemptions from compliance if accessible equipment is unavailable at commercially reasonable prices, if municipal or state agency approvals are pending, or if federal disability law exemptions apply.

• Directs Department of Public Health to notify facilities annually of accessibility standards and post information on its website; allows facilities to use nationally established health care construction guidelines when seeking approval for accessibility-related construction or alterations.
