Amends the definition of "employer" under Connecticut's Occupational Safety and Health Act to include volunteer fire departments and volunteer ambulance companies, effective October 1, 2024.

Adds an exemption to state occupational safety and health requirements for volunteer fire departments and volunteer ambulance companies that are already regulated under the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 USC 651 et seq.).

Maintains existing exemptions for employees of the United States government and working conditions regulated by federal agencies other than the U.S. Department of Labor.

Received joint favorable recommendations from the Labor and Public Employees Committee and the Public Safety Committee.
