Eliminates property tax exemptions for any real property acquired by independent institutions of higher education on and after October 1, 2024, regardless of the property's use.

Applies to assessment years beginning on or after October 1, 2024.

Modifies Connecticut General Statutes section 12-81(7) by adding a new subparagraph (C) that removes the exemption from taxation for higher education institutions while preserving exemptions for other organizations organized for scientific, educational, literary, historical, or charitable purposes.

Maintains existing exemptions for certain housing properties operated by charitable organizations, including orphanages, drug/alcohol treatment facilities, housing for homeless persons, persons with disabilities, and ex-offenders.
