Repeals and replaces Section 9-135b of Connecticut general statutes governing preparation and printing of absentee ballots, effective July 1, 2024.

Requires municipal clerks to submit sample ballots to each legislative body member (or board of selectmen in town meeting municipalities) for comment on translation accuracy when federal or state law requires ballots in languages other than English.

Makes ballot layout models available for public inspection at the clerk's office prior to printing, showing typeface, spelling, and placement of names and information.

Requires municipal clerks to file printed ballots and affidavits with the Secretary of State immediately upon receipt, and to file corrected ballots if any changes are made after printing.

Authorizes the Secretary of State to examine filed ballots and order reprinting or other corrective action if omissions or errors are found.
