Commissioner of Social Services shall provide state-funded medical assistance coverage for room and board costs for Medicaid-enrolled persons receiving residential substance use disorder treatment, within available appropriations

Commissioner may amend a Medicaid waiver approved under Section 1115 of the Social Security Act for substance use disorder treatment to implement this coverage

Commissioner may alternatively amend the Medicaid state plan to provide Medicaid coverage for room and board costs, provided such coverage is consistent with federal Medicaid law

Act takes effect upon passage
