HB 5389 Summary

• Effective July 1, 2024, commissioners of state agencies providing human services may establish on-site or in-person work policies for their employees.

• Agencies may require employees to work on-site or in person for up to 60 percent of their scheduled work hours while providing human services.

• "Human services" is defined using the same meaning provided in Connecticut General Statutes section 17a-750.

• The bill applies only to state agencies that provide human services to individuals within the state.
