Establishes a working group to study Connecticut's criminal laws, including a review of titles 53 and 53a of the general statutes for recommending legislative changes.

Working group consists of six members with criminal law expertise: one each appointed by the House Speaker, Senate President Pro Tempore, House Majority Leader, Senate Majority Leader, House Minority Leader, and Senate Minority Leader.

Administrative staff of the joint standing committee on judiciary shall provide support to the working group.

Working group must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on judiciary no later than January 1, 2025, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes.

Working group shall terminate on the date it submits its report or January 1, 2025, whichever is later.
