Public Act No. 24-22 (Substitute Senate Bill No. 107)

• Restructures University of Connecticut construction management oversight by eliminating the independent Construction Management Oversight Committee and transferring responsibilities to the Board of Trustees or a board committee, effective July 1, 2024.

• Pauses the requirement for boards of higher education to submit biennial plans to increase full-time faculty, extending the reporting deadline from December 31, 2005 to December 31, 2028.

• Replaces all references to the "President of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities" with "Chancellor of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities" throughout Connecticut's general statutes.

• Updates reporting requirements for the construction assurance office to submit quarterly reports directly to the Board of Trustees or board committee rather than an external oversight committee.

• Makes technical amendments to approximately 43 statutes to implement the title change and related governance modifications, effective July 1, 2024.
