Board of Regents for Higher Education shall establish a minimum unweighted grade point average (replacing class rank percentile) for applicants to qualify for admission through the Connecticut Automatic Admissions Program, effective July 1, 2024.

Each participating institution shall establish the minimum unweighted grade point average as an academic threshold for admission, and may establish an additional academic threshold based on performance on a nationally recognized college readiness assessment administered to eleventh grade students.

Local and regional boards of education shall calculate unweighted grade point average for each student completing eleventh grade and determine whether it meets the Board of Regents minimum.

Schools shall share a student's unweighted grade point average and whether it meets the minimum with the student, parent/guardian, the Department of Education, and upon request, participating institutions for Connecticut Automatic Admissions Program applications.

Schools are not required to publish unweighted grade point average on student transcripts or provide class rankings, but must notify students in their final high school year whether they may be admitted to at least one participating institution under the program.
