Labor Commissioner shall conduct a study examining the impact of background checks on employment opportunities within Connecticut's defense industry, with emphasis on assisting formerly incarcerated individuals convicted of non-violent and non-sexual offenses in obtaining employment.

Study shall include examination of best practices, policies, and initiatives for assisting individuals with prior convictions in gaining employment within the defense industry.

Labor Commissioner must submit a report on study results to the joint standing committees on labor and commerce by July 1, 2025.

Commissioner of Administrative Services shall conduct a study of outreach and marketing efforts related to state employment opportunities by the Department of Administrative Services.
