Appropriates $50,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Public Health for fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, for operations of the Rare Disease Advisory Council, effective July 1, 2024.

Amends section 19a-6t(f) of the general statutes to allow the Rare Disease Advisory Council to identify and accept funding from public, private, and other available sources in addition to state appropriations.

Council remains administratively housed within the Department of Public Health while gaining authority to pursue alternative funding sources to implement council provisions.

Amendments to section 19a-6t(f) take effect immediately upon passage, while appropriation takes effect July 1, 2024.
