Grants a 2,000-pound weight tolerance exemption for commercial motor vehicles powered primarily by electric batteries from gross, total axle, total tandem, or bridge formula weight limits under section 14-267a, effective July 1, 2024.

Exemptions are granted by any official or law enforcement officer authorized to enforce weight limit provisions.

Establishes a triennial registration fee of $132 for passenger motor vehicles used in part for commercial purposes, except pick-up trucks with gross vehicle weight rating below 12,500 pounds, effective October 1, 2024.

Requires pick-up trucks under 12,500 pounds not used for commercial purposes to receive combination registration (except those 8,550 pounds or less, which receive passenger registration) with a triennial fee for gross weight as commercial registration plus $21.

Individuals age 65 and older may renew combination registration on either a one-year or standard registration period basis at their discretion.
