Wreckers registered under section 14-66 may use yellow/amber lights (including flashing) or steady blue lights without obtaining a permit from the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, effective October 1, 2024

Steady blue lights on wreckers may only be illuminated while the wrecker is stationary, not while in motion

Creates an exception to the prohibition on displaying steady blue illuminated lights visible from the front of a vehicle for wrecker operators displaying steady blue lights while stationary

Removes wreckers from the category of vehicles that could previously use yellow/amber lights without a permit, instead creating a separate subsection specifically governing wrecker lighting
