Exempts law enforcement records compiled during crime detection or investigation from Freedom of Information Act disclosure when revealing informants, mandated reporters, witnesses, or confidential investigative techniques would not be in the public interest.

Protects the identity of minor witnesses and signed or sworn witness statements from disclosure.

Shields arrest records and investigatory files of juveniles from public disclosure.

Prohibits disclosure of names and addresses of victims of sexual assault, voyeurism, child abuse, family violence, and homicide or suicide when disclosure could invade personal privacy of victims or surviving family members.

Exempts photographs, films, videos, and digital images depicting domestic abuse victims, homicide or suicide victims, accident victims, and minors from disclosure unless required by statute.

Effective date: July 1, 2024.
