Commissioner of Housing shall conduct a study on the effects of short-term rentals on Connecticut's housing market within available appropriations.

Study must analyze the impact of short-term rentals on availability and affordability of dwelling units and single-family homes.

Study must examine economic benefits or detriments to communities where short-term rentals are located and the extent to which such rentals contribute to resident displacement.

Study must include data on the number and distribution of short-term rentals throughout the state.

Commissioner must submit findings report to the joint standing committee on housing no later than January 1, 2025.
