Prohibits hospitals and outpatient surgical facilities from allowing medical device manufacturing company representatives to be present in operating rooms during patient surgical procedures, effective October 1, 2024

Exception permits a representative to be present in an operating room only if that representative is themselves undergoing a surgical procedure as a patient

Applies to all facilities as defined in Connecticut General Statutes section 19a-490 (hospitals) and section 19a-490bb (outpatient surgical facilities)

Creates new statutory language with no existing sections amended
