Commissioner of Social Services shall conduct a study on the costs and benefits of expanding state-funded assisted living services for persons eligible for Connecticut's home-care program for the elderly but not qualifying for Medicaid.

Study report must be filed with the joint standing committees on appropriations and human services by January 1, 2025.

Report shall include estimated number of persons who may qualify for expanded services, cost of such services, and projected state savings from delaying Medicaid-funded nursing home care.

Act takes effect upon passage and creates a new statutory provision.
