Commissioner of Correction must submit a report to relevant legislative committees by January 1, 2025, regarding body scanning machine procurement for correctional facilities.

Report must include the procurement status of body scanning machines and estimated costs for installation and use in public entrance areas of all correctional facilities.

Report must provide recommendations on the number of body scanning machines needed in public entrance areas of correctional facilities.

Report must assess the capability of body scanning machines to reduce contraband brought into correctional facilities by visitors.

Takes effect upon passage and requires compliance with reporting procedures under section 11-4a of the general statutes.
