Chairpersons of the joint standing committee on appropriations and state agency budgets shall convene a working group to study insurance company payments deposited into the Insurance Fund.

Working group membership includes chairpersons and ranking members from appropriations and insurance committees, the Insurance Commissioner, one property and casualty insurer association representative, and one health plan association representative.

First meeting must be scheduled not later than 60 days after the effective date, with working group members selecting two co-chairpersons.

Administrative staff from the insurance committee shall provide support to the working group.

Working group shall submit a report with findings and recommendations to the appropriations and insurance committees by January 1, 2025, and shall terminate upon report submission or January 1, 2025, whichever is later.
